What is a Crafting Retreat?

A crafting retreat is an organised event that focuses on bringing creatives together so they can work on their own projects and at the same time participate in other activities such as make-and takes, product demonstrations, and more. 

There are also some fun social activities too – so you have the chance to meet new people and reach out of your comfort zone.

Scrap of Your Life retreat range from 2 or 3-night stays and are held in NSW, at either Kiah Ridge, Tahmoor, or at Mt Schoenstatt Mulgoa, NSW.

Our crafting retreats offer a variety of activities ranging from hands-on classes, product demonstrations, make-and-takes, challenges, and classes.   At our craft retreats, you will be able to spend your time getting your craft projects finished as well as exploring your creative side.

What Happens at Our Craft Retreats

Shopping

Of course, a retreat wouldn't be the same without a place to stock up on the latest craft supplies. The shop is available over the weekend. You can also pre-shop and save on shipping. Have your goodies delivered directly to you at the retreat.

Challenges

Join in on fun challenges to inspire you to create and step outside you’re comfort zone. Challenges range from scrapbooking to mixed media, cards, and other fun little projects. 

Entries to the challenges are judged at the end of the weekend and the winners receive some fun craft goodies.

Goody Bag

Each lovely crafter attending will receive a free goody bag, Items range from papers, to craft essentials, embellishments and other fun stuff. The bag is also contains a retreat guide with a complete outline of the weekend schedule.

Prizes and Games

There are prizes and games all weekend. In each Goody Bag there will be a ticket for the lucky door prizes. We also have a Lucky retreater prize and special challenge at the end of the weekend where you can win a fun prize.

If you love a little Trivia, then join in for a little competitive Trivia. You work out your teams (of four) and the team that wins will a lucky dip prize.

Studio Boutique

Studio boutique table full of pretty embellishments to add that finishing touch to your craft projects. Some of the latest additions to the Studio Boutique are hand-dyed muslin, lace, ribbons, flags, tags, printables and more.

Photo Booth

Friendships are strengthened, memories are born, and relationships blossom at the confines of a comfy box called a photo booth.

Take some Happy Snaps in the retreat photo booth. Photos are uploaded to google drive after the retreat or you can download them to your own SD or USB at the retreat before you go home. Some of the photos are added to the le Facebook group or used on the website.

 

Make n Takes, Product Demonstrations, and Classes

Each retreat will have Free Make n Takes, product demonstrations or a mini class. I would love for you to join in, however they are optional and there is absolutely no pressure to join in.
