Scrapbooking Layout Ideas - Aussie Summer
This is an older scrapbook layout I completed a few years ago, but it still remains one of my absolute favourites. Maybe it’s the bright, cheerful oranges that just make me happy, or perhaps it’s all the fun little bits and pieces I layered on the page. Whatever it is, it always brings a smile to my face!
I have to admit, I’m not a fan of cold winter weather. Even though the temperature rarely dips below 0 degrees here, I still feel that chill. During winter, I become a total homebody—or should I say, a “scrap body”—spending hours curled up indoors with my craft supplies. There’s something comforting about snuggling in and letting creativity take over when it’s cold outside.
But summer? Oh, summer is a whole different story! I absolutely thrive in the heat, and there are a few favourite things that make this season extra special for me. First on the list has to be swimming in our pool. After a long day at work, there’s nothing better than jumping in to cool off and letting the kids splash around with endless energy.
Summer is also the season of fresh, juicy fruits, ice cream treats, and endless laughter as the kids play outdoors. And when I want to stretch my legs and enjoy nature, bushwalking is one of my go-to activities. Living in the Blue Mountains, we’re spoiled with so many beautiful trails and scenic spots to explore—every walk feels like a mini adventure.
This layout captures a little of all the summer fun I love. True to my style, I’m always advocating for using what I already have in my stash. For this page, I raided my scraps and used bits and pieces from my collection, proving that you don’t need brand-new supplies to create something special.
I’m always curious—how do you find the time to be creative amidst all the busy-ness of life? I’d love to hear your tips for fitting in those precious creative moments between work, family, and everything else that fills our days. Let’s swap ideas and inspire each other to make more time for the things we love!
