Tutorial - Mixed Media - Thank You Junk Journal Idea
Mixed Media Thankyou ‘ Junk Journal’
Gratitude Journal - Twilight scrapper
From Mel Design Team Member ..
I decided during these COVID times I would create a booklet to write down all the sayings that allow me to be thankful. When times are tough and we feel a little overwhelmed it may just mean we need to write down these thoughts in our little journal.
It keeps us centered and reminds us of the good that we do have.
I used the rose coloured ink to create a chevron pattern across the cover of the journal sky mini collection 6x6 paper..
The papers used were the 49 & Market collage stack to fill in pages of the journal. I used super tacky tape to hold the spine together and started to make 3 signatures. You can sew them or tape them all depending on your fold.
The 49 and Market Seaside Shipwreck 6x8 paper was either folded in halves or thirds to create pockets and extra folds in the 3 signatures.
I started to create the front cover by using a 49 & Market Stitched Frames then I started to layer up a inked wooden dream catcher with beaded metal stems. There are beads, sequins, gold keys, twine, 49 & Market wishing bubbles, quotes, enamel dots and postage stamps were used to finish the look.
To finish off the cover I used Nuvo Shimmer Powder in ‘Cherry Bomb’ to create a textured background. The
signatures with glued in with a glue gun and each page was folded and
tags were tucked in.
Happy scrapping friends! Take care of yourselves at this time.
Lots of love Mel
